For a show with the subject of 'Gothic', I researched gothic literature, especially Edgar Allan Poe and made a work based on a story I wrote about a murderer. The story's structure is entirely symmetrical, so I made two boxes as the scenography of two balanced rooms. The surfaces are painted with oil paint to create a Trompe l'oeil effect. Here I consider painting as a material to construct a virtual world, similar to the other medium I use. The objects inside the boxes are found or made by 3D print technique. The different arrangements could suggest parallel worlds or just one particular space but at different times.
